Dayspring Preschool Staff

Our teachers meet or exceed the criteria for preschool educators as defined by the State of Ohio.

Director and 4/5 Lead Teacher: Lara Fogle earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University.  She has taught preschool in Delaware and has assisted and substituted in Marion.  She lives in Marion with her husband, Mike and their two children, Gage and Olivia.  Her passion for children overflows into the classroom.

4/5 Aide – Sierra Easterday is a graduate of Tri-Rivers early childhood education program.  She comes to us with lots of fun ideas and tremendous enthusiasm!  Sierra was also part of the National Technical Honor Society and earned a gold rating in FCCLA (Family, Career, and Leaders of America) state competition. We are so blessed to have Sierra be a part of our program.

3/4 Lead Teacher: Barbara Hays has a true passion for children.  She has taught preschool in Marion for 20+ years.  Prior to that she has taught preschool in various locations including Japan.  Her high energy level and passion for children is evident in her teaching style in the classroom. Her understanding of children and their needs allows her to excel in our program.

3/4 Aide – Christina Schertzer has served as a substitute with our program and is now a daily part of our team. Her two daughters have attended Dayspring Christian Preschool and her family also attends Dayspring Wesleyan Church.  Christina’s enthusiasm with the kids is contagious.

3/4 Aide – Diane Jankowski comes to us after serving as an aide in the former St. Mary’s preschool program and as a substitute in our program for many years.  She resides in Marion with her husband and two sons and we are proud to add her to our program!

3/4 Aide – Teri Shipley comes to us with lots of experience with children throughout the community including the YMCA, Marion City Schools and Dayspring.  She resides in Marion with her husband and 3 children.
